Shu Uemura, which was acquired by L'Oreal in 2004, does about 80% of it's business in Asia, and the products (which include the cult favorite eyelash curler and luxe false lashes) will still be available to US consumers via Shu Uemura's website, so don't expect this shift to hurt the company too much.
According to the press release, though Shu Uemura is found in approximately 100 stores across the US, it only employs around 26 people. L'Oreal has said that it will make every effort to place affected employees within other L'Oreal US brands.

That's a shame! I wonder if we'll still get it in the UK?
Simone,
No worries for now, the company says this change will not effect any other markets.
