This week's sales start off over at newcomer site Beauty Story, who get out of the gate on Monday when they host Kae Argan Oil Therapy. Next comes Pixi and Lierac Paris on Wednesday, followed by Skin Nutrition on Friday. BTW, all sales at Beauty Story start at 10AM. The new site is brought to us by the founders of Editors' Closet, so if you're a member there already, all you have to do is sign in to Beauty Story with your user info from EC. If you're not a member of either and you need an invite, you know where to get it: just click here and you're on your way!
On Tuesday over at HauteLook the site hosts Smashbox Cosmetics, with Freeze 24.7 on Wednesday, Baby Quasar on Thursday, and Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Skincare on Friday, June 18th.
Gilt Groupe is pretty quiet this week, with only 2 sales listed- stay tuned for updates. So far it's just lonely Kate Somerville on Tuesday, June 15th followed Wednesday by Rsession Tools.
Last but not least, Privatistas features Marc Jacobs' Daisy as well as his signature scent for women. For the guys, the site also has great deals on Armani's Acqua Di Gio and The One by Dolce and Gabbana for Men. Both sales run through Wednesday. You can click the link to jump over, or click here for a personalized invite from me!
Anyone have anything this week that you'll be on the lookout for? Oh, and those of you that visit often may notice that I've changed the format of my sale post a tiny bit. I've always included links to the featured brands in my sale posts, but since it literally takes hours sometimes to edit in all of the links, I've decided I may do away with them. (You guys all know how to work this interwebz thingie, right?) So tell me: do you miss them? If you like the links and want me to keep them in so you can easily jump to a brand's home page, speak up. If it's no big deal, I'd like to hear that too! I'm here for you guys, so comment and make yourself heard!

What do you recommend from Smashbox? Or do you like them?
I honestly don't use a ton of Smashbox- their foundation doesn't go light enough for me, and that's usually where I start exploring a line. I have used a few of their products- here's some quick impressions:
Photo Finish Primer w/SPF 15 & Dermaxyl- nice if you like silicone based primers, since it's got an SPF and anti-aging ingredients. I'm not convinced it really extended wear or reduced pore size much, but it provides a nice smooth canvas to work with & the SPF doesn't flash white in photography.
Bionic Mascara- totally gave me raccoon eyes, I'd skip this one!
Photo Op Under Eye Brightener: not exactly a concealer, it offers brightening without shimmer. So, while it won't offer coverage per se, it can balance out slight darkness. I feel like I noticed the effect more in photos than I did in real life (eyes looked awake, without the tell tale white ring around the eyes you can get with concealer!) I didn't think the universal shade would work for me (most products like this read as orange on my super pale skin) but this blends out flawlessly on every skin tone and doesn't settle into fine lines.
Fusion Soft Lights- multi use, decently pigmented soft pressed powder. I generally swirled my brush all over the palette for a bronzer effect, but also used the colors separately as a facial contour shade as well as for eye shadows. This would be a great product to travel with, since it's potentially 5 shadows, a blush/bronzer and highlight/contour shades.
I've also used Smashbox lip glosses and eyeliners, which are average- I'd say if you see a shade you love and it's priced at or under what you normally pay, go for it.
I'm curious about the Lip Blush Palette, but since it's new this season, I'm pretty sure it won't be an option. I've also heard great things about the Halo foundation powder (though I tested it a few times and was meh about it) and the Cream Eye Liner Palette.
So, that's what I've got where Smashbox is concerned. Anyone else want to weigh in?
